Tyler Greeno Fund Design Contest

The Tyler Greeno Fund has requested the assistance of the Swanton Arts Council to select a design to share its mission via an open contest. Any member of the community is encouraged to enter. Deadline for design submissions is Thursday, October 28, 2015.  The winning entry will be used for the Tyler Greeno Fund logo. Winners will receive recognition from the Swanton Arts Council, pizza and a movie.


Entering

Any person so inclined to enter the contest shall be eligible to do so.

Entries may be submitted by

·       mailing them to SAC, 98 Spring Street, Swanton, VT 05488
All entries must be received no later than October 28th –
 please allow appropriate time for delivery if using US Mail.

All entries must all be original artwork.
Entries may be digitized or hand-drawn
It is advised that submitted entries be no larger than 8 ½” x 11”

About Tyler and the Tyler Greeno Fund:


Mission Statement for Tyler Greeno Fund: The Tyler Greeno Fund will promote hands-on activities that support young people as they strive toward making healthy choices in their lives.  
The fund will collaborate with the MVU educational community through efforts that celebrate individual differences while acknowledging that only through collaboration can we impact positively on students, their families and their communities. 

Purpose of the Tyler Greeno Fund: Support/create/nurture a sense of belonging within the community served by MVU through a small grant process that focuses on positive community involvement. The Tyler fund will support drug-free community initiatives that create a network of support where people can establish positive relationships and develop a sense of belonging and wellness.

What are the main goals of the Tyler Greeno Fund?
·       Healthy choices – both emotional and social
·       Support of others that is non-judgmental- building relationships that support each other, encouraging positive choices
·       Having fun in a substance-free environment
·       Being proud of “the man in the mirror” regardless of the struggles in life

Time Frame


The contest shall adhere to the following time frame to the best of the Arts Council’s ability:

          October 13, 2015: On this day, the contest shall be announced on all available media.  This date will serve as the first day to accept logo entries.

          October 28, 2015: Last Day to Accept Entries.  Contest entries will no longer be accepted after this date unless specifically requested by The Tyler Greeno Fund logo selection committee.

October 30, 2015: The Swanton Arts Council will hand over the final submissions to the Tyler Greeno Fund Logo selection committee.

          Winner Determined: The winner will be determined at the November meeting of the Tyler Greeno Fund.  The winner will be contacted by a representative of the Swanton Arts Council and invited to have a photo taken of his/herself and his/her design, to be used in the announcement of the winning design.  Additionally, the winner will receive pizza and a movie.
