Kris Daignault


A native of Swanton, VT, always interested in all things creative. He attended the first Governor’s Institute of the Art held at Lyndon State College Lyndon, VT in the early 1980’s. Kris studied graphic design at Orlando College, Orlando, FL where he designed restaurant and hotel signs and logos and ads for See Magazine. After college Kris landed in the small art colony of Provincetown, MA at the tip of Cape Cod where he dabbled in figural work with oils and part of group shows at ICON Gallery. He opened/owned Scarab Art Gallery in Hyannis, MA. Kris made his way back to VT in 2008 and been volunteering with the VT PWA Coalition in Montpelier in many capacities from fundraising to co-­chair of the organization. He also works with VT Cares doing HIV/AIDS educational workshops in health education classes in the area. He has been involved with the MVU H.S.Spring Musical Program working on set design and costumes. Currently he has been doing floral renderings, designing and painting Barn Squares as well as having a passion for photography. Kris is currently a co­-chair of the Swanton Arts Council.
